INGVILD LIVE SESSION

This wednesday I went to INGVILD ØSTGÅRDS release party/concert here in OSLO. The release was a 7 SONG LIVE SESSIN that she recorded on the 9th of April this year at URBAN SOUND STUDIOS (beautiful video recording from the studio recording here) I had not heard INGVILDS music live in a long time (we used to live together in OSLO and then I would get free sneak peaks into her musical world all the time) so it was amazing to hear and see how her music had developed during these last years. The recording is not available on CD, but at the release it was possible to buy online download instructions for the recording. The instructions came on a card together with two postcards, all designed by Ingvild (she is also a graphic designer with her own company 'I MADE IT') ..and the photos are by LINN MELUM. The songs are also available on iTUNES. I took some pictures at the concert that I will post later today:)

The other day E and I was walking around in PRENZLAUER BERG when a woman sitting outside on the sidewalk taking a cigarette caught my eye. It was not the smoking part alone that made me notice her but the way she perfectly matched the environment she was sitting in. I was immediately fascinated by the scene, it looked so perfectly constructed, so I turned around and asked if I could take her picture. It turned out that the space behind her was her workplace, the beauty salon AVOCADO, and that I had caught her as she was having her cigarette break.

NOCH EINE LUNCH AT CHEZ MAURICE

Earlier this week we went to CHEZ MAURICE to have LUNCH, and to THANK THEM for the fantastic dinner they hosted for us on the day our WEDDING. The dinner was not in the restaurant, but in the WINE CELLAR and it was just perfect; the atmosphere, the food, the wine and the service. We have been regulars at this restaurant since I started coming to BERLIN to visit E (it was also here, over some good food and a bottle of wine, we decided that I should come live in Berlin) so it was a perfect location for us. After we moved to KREUZBERG the traveling distance is not a short as it used to be, but there is no doubt that after going to this restaurant for now almost two years ..distance can not keep us away.
