The other day I was inside ..all day ...SICK ..so I decided to catch some FRESH AIR by putting my head out the WINDOW. At the platz, right under the window, this RED CONVERTIBLE was parked and I couldn't help but dream away ... dreaming that I was this fabulously dressed ...not sick... girl looking out the window ..because I had just heard my date ...who was here to pick me up to go do something amazing ..honk the horn on his car. ( At this point I think I was a bit influenced by one of the latest SEX AND THE CITY episodes I had just watched.. nothing like a reunion with that show when you're in bed sick... where Big comes to pick up Carrie in a car and she looks out her window and sees him by the car waiting for her.. of course they end up not going on a trip.. and BREAK UP instead.. but I kind of chose to remember just the nice outfits and the date under the window in a car part)  Ah...  But there I was, in my KIMONO, kind of FEVERISH, alone in the apartment, E at a meeting, soon to arrive home by BIKE, not fun car. So well, some other time maybe. Because I have to admit that one of the things I really liked when I met E was that he knew how to DRIVE... after dating some art and musician types who never had taken their license it was a big relief to meet a guy who knew how to drive a car.. call it silly.. I just like my man to be able to drive.  So even though we don't have a car right now there is still a chance that this DREAM of mine ...of looking out the window and seeing a handsome man in a good looking car waiting for mer ..might be just around the corner.. and not an endless line of kind of UNSEXY and definitely expensive DRIVING LESSONS away.

THE VOLVO P1800 AND THE 1800ES

A week ago or something I posted some pictures of a red VOLVO I spotted while out Champagne shopping in the west ...and encouraged people to give me info about the car if they new anything about it.. since the only thing I knew was that I thought it was nice looking. I didn't have to wait long for information. Only a day later I got an e mail from my PARENTS (my dad was the person who earlier had encouraged me to do more car stuff on my blog so it was nice with some backing up) who had imediately recognized the car as the one ROGER MOORE alias SIMON TEMPLAR drove in the famous tv-show THE SAINT (in Norway known as  HELGENEN, screened on fridays on norwegian TV, when my parents were younger). The car TEMPLAR drove was a white VOLVO 1800P, a sports car, while the one I spotted was a red  VOLVO 1800ES, an estate, a station wagon.  The VOLVO 1800 ES ran out of production in 1973 and only 8,077 of the ES were built in its two model years.  

Another thing maybe worth mentioning about my blogpost about the VOLVO is that I can tell by the statistics on my site that I have had 18 hits from a page called 'car-accident-pictures' this last week. I have had some more viewers then normal lately because of the Vixen BlogAward, but these I am tempted to "blame" on the car post, not minMote and VIXEN. Who knows. Anyways, here are some beautiful pictures of these two Volvo models from back in the days.

ANYONE KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THIS BEAUTY..

One time when I talked to my DAD he asked for more picture of CARS on my BLOG. I have always been a big fan of CARS, maybe I don't know that much about them, but I really like how they LOOK, and I therefore thought that my DAD's request was a reasonable one. Unfortunately most of the nice cars here in BERLIN are in the western part, and not the eastern where I live, so there haven't been any car photos.. until last week.. when we went on a trip to the WEST to buy some CHAMPAGNE for E's birthday ..and my eye fell on this old VOLVO ..and I thought to myself that this was a nice opportunity to photograph a car (even though I think my dad was more hoping for a picture of maybe a BMW or a MERCEDES BENZ). So here they are.. my blog's first car pictures and hopefully not the last ones, even though I must admit that I don't know much about this car ..other than it's red and with a fun shape.. . and that it's a VOLVO..

...and that it has a BEHIND looking like this.. If anyone know anything more about this CAR, like when it's from or something, feel free to COMMENT, then maybe this can be the start of me learning more about cars..
