A LOT OF BACK AND FORTH

Lately I've been having some PROBLEMS with my PHONE, a hand me down from my dad to my mom, who thought it was too fancy, and therefore gave it to me. It is actually kind of fancy ..and makes me sometimes feel a bit important when I use it, but lately it has been more of a bother than actually useful because it often refuses to recharge. As a result of this my phone decided to DIE while I was sleeping, the night before I was leaving OSLO on a 09.05 AM flight to BERLIN. Because of this, the alarm on my phone didn't go off ...which resulted in me waking up at 7 ..from the beeping sound of a text sent to my friend SILJE's phone (hadn't it been for that text I don't know when I would have woken up, at this time I was in the middle of a DREAM where TRACY JORDAN, a crazy character in the NBC show 30 ROCK, was driving past me in a red cadillac waving and shouting at me.. ) So.. I wake up at seven, the hour I was supposed to leave the house, ..so I JUMP into my clothes, am out of the house by ten past 7 and make it to the airport on time. In my seat two hours later, HUNGRY and TIRED and certain that I am going to sleep the whole flight, one of the the flight attendants announces; there will be FREE INTERNET on this flight. Suddenly my urge to sleep and forget about my shitty morning is turned into enthusiasm over the whole internet on plane thing. I felt my luck had changed and that the day was going to be just GREAT. I still thought this when I met E at the airport ...I also thought this about an hour later when we got off the airport express train to meet my SISTER and FRODE at ALEXANDER PLATZ. But then... it dawned on me; I had managed to forget my BOTTEGA VENETA scarf, a christmas present from E, on a bench at the airport express train station at Schönefeld. F... F... F...

.....So, we got back on the train again, this time the one TO Schönefeld. All I could think of the whole way out was that I wanted the scarf to be there when I got back... finally we got to the airport and there it was, under the bench.. I was so relieved ..and HAPPY, feeling lucky again. Because of my lack of sleep and the presence of drama I shouted out; WE WIN (something I can not say in a this kind of way without thinking of one of the last scenes in the film ARMAGEDDON ...where Bruce Willis dies to save the world from a giant meteor ...and his last words are 'Gracie, we win' (which is his daughter played by LIV TYLER)) Anyway ...So these pictures are taken by a very happy me, with my scarf around my neck, on the train back to BERLIN again. Especially happy because I love being on a bus or a train when it's SUNNY but cold outside, because it then seems so warm and light inside.
